Hello from Milwaukee
Hello from Milwaukee
Hi Folks-
I’m a new member from Milwaukee, WI.
I had very basic RC car (Nikko) back in the mid 80s. My parents had gotten it for me as a Christmas present and I think it was from Sears or Toys R Us. I had countless hours of fun playing around with that car back then.
I recall my friends and I reading RC Car Action back then and saving up to get an RC10 or Kyosho Optima. I couldn’t afford either one and kind of forgot about them as I got older.
Anyways fast forward to a couple weeks ago and I found one locally on Craigslist that I purchased. The original owner built it up and ran it for a couple years before he got interested in other hobbies. It then sat in his attic for the last 20 years. It came with a Futaba Magnum Junior transmitter but no battery or charger.
From all the useful info on this great site I’ve learned that it’s an RC10 Championship Edition with the Stealth transmission.
I’m looking forward to diving in and tuning it up and getting some new tires, batteries, and a new body.
Thanks!
