MTR 1213E - RC12 I/IS chassis base

Post by Trass »

Hi everyone,

A month ago, i bought some old chassis in lot, there was some MTR ones.

MTR Tuning Service stickers on them ;)

This one is called MTR 1213E (engraved) with an RC12IFS chassis base.

I falled in love instantanly.

More pics soon. Big cleaning and polishing ;)

Does anybody have any infos about MTR, some of you said on FB that could be attached to Big Jim Greenemeyer?

The AE RC12 with IFS was my first and only 12th scale back in the day.
Your builds are always stunning so I can't wait to see where you go with this one. 8)

Some poeple said it's an IS, not an IFS...

I’ve always heard it referred to as a 12is. 12i was the base, the “i” didn’t stand for independent, the “s” was added for the front suspension. It doesn’t appear that AE called it a 12is, they referred to it as a 12i suspension car or 12i shock suspension

Your servo has a sticker reading: mfer. In American slang, that can sometimes be an abbreviation for mother-f*cker. So, in an attempt to be funny, I used the slang abbreviation to compliment your car. And to avoid any further confusion, your car does look beautiful. I really like the look of the electronics.

Hi,

Don't be embarrassed, i'm not offended by that ;)

I'm just happy to understand new things, this sticker was on the servo when i got this. I thought it was just a kind of reference ...
