My ISP suggested I restart my modem. When does that ever fix anything? Well, this time it did. Very weird.

I'm glad you were able to figure out what was causing it. The bulk of my income comes from computer repair, and I've never heard of or experienced a modem restart fixing anything but an Internet connection before. That's really odd to me but not all that surprising with technology being more convoluted than ever.

My modem of 9 years finally died back in June. I pushed it hard for all those years with nary a hiccup. The new provided replacement periodically drops the connection for no reason. I've chatted with support twice over it, and unsurprisingly they couldn't provide an answer. I mean I know it's the modem, I just wanted to see what they would do about it. It's the only one they have to offer with the latest tech, and it's awful. There are no activity/diagnostic lights on it. Just power, and a light that tells you if it's online or not. It's also quite large since it's a combination modem/telephone unit which I don't need. Luckily you can buy your own modem to use as long as it's compatible with their system which is what I plan on eventually doing.

Higher quality picture cannot substitute for low quality content... living here in Oz, you should realise that by now....

For those of you with impaired vision or would simply like to control the size of the text, you now can. 👀

The settings are located in your 'User Control Panel' under the 'Board preferences' tab.

There are separate settings for both desktop and mobile devices. A word of caution though is If you make the text too large, it breaks the formatting of the board. That is unless you have a giant screen to compensate.

It doesn't appear to be compatible with the current default theme though unfortunately. I tested it on all the others, and it works as it should.

Anyone else having PMs getting stuck in Outbox? This is the 2nd one I have had in the past few weeks. What is weird is that I have sent and received PMs since this one got stuck, so overall PMs seem to be working, but this one is just still.

I think they stay in the out box until the person receiving them reads it.

Yeah, they do stay there until read. That took by surprise too that this forum software does it that way.

On the bright side, you know if they're ignoring you or just off the grid... :D

Oh, so Doug just needs to get off his ass and read a message!?!? :D These people with work and lives and such outside of talking about toy RC cars with strangers on the internet ......................

That Outbox concept makes sense and doesn't make sense at the same time. I am thinking like "work" Outlook "Outbox," and god forbid I don't send a reply in the 15 minutes since you emailed me Gary! I will get to you when I can GD'it.

Sorry, little work rant there.

Yup, just to reiterate, private messages show in the outbox of the sender until the recipient has read them or at least opened them.

I agree that it makes sense but doesn't as well. There's little quirks here and there like that. I blame it on the board software being of British origin. I mean they don't even drive on the right side of the road for goodness' sake. :P

You now all have colored bars above your posts corresponding to the member group you're in.

Also a quick login at the bottom of every topic.

Last but not least, when an internal link is posted, it's now shown in full instead of shortened.

Just a question of curiosity, not a criticism of any kind. Seriously. How does the platform decide when to make a page break? Some screens seem to go on for miles and others seem to break after just a few posts. Inquiring minds want to know... well just mine maybe.
