Seeing how other people mod their cars is core to this forum IMHO . How they did it back then and how we do it now .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.

Front carbon arm plates made and installed as well as the aluminium brackets to mount the Kyosho shocks. This will be a massive upgrade over the stock shocks, especially the standard ball end mounting system they use.
I'm using the stock wide wheels with Schumacher Tyres and inserts all round.
I also have narrow Schumacher fronts and inserts as an option.
Also notice the Kyosho 4.8mm ball studs and ball ends attached to Associated FT turnbuckles on the steering. Much better.Chris.

That's looking nice , I like that you kept the new shocks laying down , to me it's iconic to the look of the car .

Thanks Gav. I like the look of the laydown shocks too. That said, I have bigger shocks ready for it when I decide to mount them in a more upright manner. Although that could take quite a few years.

Thanks RJ, I've got more screws coming. Most of the Phillips heads will be changed to hex heads before it gets run.

Coyotes come from the factory with the two sticks of batteries mounted towards the front of the car. I wanted to give myself another tuning option so I could shift the cells and change the balance of the chassis.
Believe me, drilling and filing the slots was as fun as it looks. I'll use modified battery holders in the old battery slots, which are behind the middle of each stick of cells in conjunction with a re-usable zip tie. That'll secure the packs really well.Chris.

Coyote kits don't come with sway bars nor did SG or TAG or anyone else offer them (I could be wrong though) as options as far as I know. As before, it's a case of make it yourself which in my case has always been one of the main attractions of RC cars. Anyway, here's my sway bars.
The front one made from 1.6mm wire. There's two of the mounts I made recently. I have to attach the bars to the wishbones yet.
The rear bar. 1.6mm wire again. Note the extra battery mounts and zip ties securing the batteries in this shot. very secure.

The sway bars are attached to the wishbones via four small aluminium posts and some spare ballends and ballcups I had sitting around.
The front. The rear. I currently have the stock Kyosho springs on the Tomahawk shocks. They seem a little soft for this buggy. I've found some stiffer replacements if needed.
They're 10mm Axial springs, part numbers AX30205 and AX30206. The red springs are softer than the white springs. These'll really help with fine tuning. There's one more tuning option that I have to make before the Coyote is complete. After that I can fit the electronics and get it running.
