I'm in! Been growing peppers and tomatoes for years.
I always try to start a few hot pepper plants a month before May long Weekend here in Calgary.
Growing season is short but I got quite a few 4 inch jalapenos last year.
I grow jalapenos and habaneros here in Leduc, AB. too. It seems the jalapenos are far more productive. The habaneros just start to hit their stride during the last days in autumn, we bring the plants inside for a few weeks and they end up producing a bunch of little, super-hot peppers, but everything we bring inside ends up getting infested with aphids and everything dies within a month or two.
I came up with a really good hot sauce recipe that combines jalapenos and habaneros with some store-bought red bell peppers for a touch of sweetness and it's really tasty, and very spicy. It's great in soups or on a barbecued cheeseburger.
Just out of curiosity, what is the outdoor growing season there? I would imagine pretty short that far north. The first garden I ever attempted, I planted several Jalapeno and Habanero plants. I didn't care for it properly and the weeds grew taller than my pepper plants. It was all fenced in so I just left it alone until fall clean-up and when I went to cut it all down I realized I had dozens of Habanero peppers on the plants covered in tall weeds. The Jalapenos didn't do well at all.

Local sauce my cousins picked up. Really good. Especially paired with a brat, horseradish mustard and jalapeño kraut.
That looks delicious! Dang!
This is my daily use hot sauce. For the last couple of years I was ordering it 12 bottles at a time (cheaper at webstaurantstore.com) but my local Kroger just started carrying it. It doesn't taste like you would expect a Tabasco sauce to taste.

My grocery store stopped carrying these in full sized bags but Walgreens has the individual size bags. They taste sort of like Taco Doritos but with some oomph. Do not purposesly inhale the scent in an open bag of chips. You don't need that fire in your lungs.

My neighbor gave me homegrown tomatoes and hot peppers. I used two huge tomatoes and 3 different kinds of hot peppers. Blended them up with some garlic and a pinch of salt. Added white vinegar and cooked it down for about 4 hours until all the liquid was gone. Ended up with 4 tiny cups. Really good flavor. Sweet and hot.

I've heard and read a few posts regarding this topic. I see some of you gents use the 3 degree mounts and 0 degree hubs(10T) and some use the 1.5 degree mounts and 1.5 degree hubs on the WOIN builds. I'm in the process of doing one myself. What are...
Yesterday I was working on my Vintage Rc10 and I went to plug in the battery and I didn't check to make sure the switch was turned off. When I plugged it in, my finger was apparently touching one of the exposed wires that comes off where the battery...

I can't get the photo's to show, but may have an easy way to test the radio system. If you have a receiver battery (holds 4AA batteries), you can plug it into the receiver and test the radio system without plugging in the 7.2V Car battery. If this...

Your gearing is wrong, you want less teeth to the pinion not more. Try a 10 tooth pinion on the 6 gear tranny, if it's still to hot go to a 9t.
Hello all,
It seems to be generally agreed that the long-arm Rc10 does best with 25 degrees of caster. Unfortunately, the 25 degree caster blocks are discontinued and hard to find. There's currrently one set on ebay, $30 shipped. Ouch.
What's the...

Nobody?
Maybe I'll just order the 30d blocks and see how they work for me.
Edit: Is there any way to get proper track with b4 casters and JC Racing wheels, or will I need new wheels?
I may just go ahead and try the Custom Works caster blocks....

the b4 parts are cheap enuf to see if it would work to dremel off the top ball mount so you could keep the original king pin setup. Its gonna take some experimenting no matter what at this point. I too would go to my b3 over quite a few other...
I am confused, I just opened an old package out of my stash of 6210 caster blocks, see picture below. These caster blocks are no where near the 30 degrees. More like 0 degrees. Is this a known issue?
I also found black 6210s in online...

Thanks for the reply Elf,
Me personally I would prefer the angle of the actual part, but as the RC10 kickup was a constant of 30° I can understand that they label the true caster when it is installed. Now on a B4 (B6 ?) I believe you could change...
