New 3D Printer. Sovol SV06 Plus. Hopefully this gives me less headaches than my knockoff Ender3. Bit bigger, can run a lot hotter so i can do Nylon, and has a lot better motion system and interface. Bonus is It auto levels the bed.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Are you going to add an enclosure? It helps with nylon printing.

Yes, I'll make one for it when i move it to it's actual home. It's currently where i generally set my toolbox just to test it after assembly.

Got a steaming pile of Durango parts in the mail....
Durango Parts.jpg

There is an almost complete 410R truck there, in mostly unopened bags.... going to take me a while to work out what's missing. Started on the open bags last night, and will move on to the plastics next. Shame the manual doesn't include pictures of the parts sprues, or even a list of all the required sprues... guess I've just been spoiled by EVERY OTHER RC MANUFACTURER.

Plenty of spare parts NIP, so I see some horse-trading in my future, for the parts I need to complete the build.

Wish me luck!

Alex

Just think of it as a puzzle. A little workout for the brain. Something to slow you down so you don't build it in just a few hours. Savor the build.

I spent an hour looking at a couple of the open bags, and how the prop shafts are meant to fit together... the machining needs to be tight, but the tolerances don't seem to match the ideal. That's just building up the universal in the prop shaft.... but it's not a good start!
