Picked up this Doberman a while ago.

No body, rock hard tires , quite a few scrapes and scratches and poorly repaired servo mounting tabs.

I've always been curious about these , maybe more the Lynx really but I'd just like the 4wd more , a very curious mix of influences , kind of a Frogeri .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Reassembled after a thorough cleaning.

Repaired broken servo mounts from underside with small strips of lexan and CA.
The mounts were probable broken because a previous owner had frozen the broken servo saver with CA.
Could still need a bit more clean up on the belly and battery area.

Originally the car came without a body.
Ordered and received a body and decals.

I mocked up some tires to kind of simulate to original tires.
Finding decent original tires is probably out of the question.
All the tires on the playtrons I've seen seem to suffer the same hardened and flat spotted failure my tires showed.
I had to glue the fronts just like the original tires I removed from the car.
Probably going to run the raised lettering on the inside of the rears.

Got a little bit of painting done.

Did not know what these lights were for until I looked at a picture of the original box online.

A bit more cleaning, new servo saver and trying to resurrect the original front tires.

Made a mount for the ESC.
Also helps to secure the servo a little.

Finished a few of the last tasks on the Doberman.

Esc wired
Changed servo for one with longer lead wiring
Tidied all the wiring
Mounted antenna.

A view from the underside.
Wires tucked in the "C' channel of the frame and held in place with small sections of silicone hose.
All wiring easily clears the battery area.

As few wires as possible exposed.

Hello there rrichard8405,

There is a forum rule that applies to your question. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7465
Don't be offended if there are no answers to your question in this forum.
Similar Ebay "sold" items are probably your best reference.

That model has an interesting name. I wonder if Playtron ever considered making a Poodle? Or Chihuahua?
