Is this a Grasshopper?

Post by cautiousone »

I picked this thing up the other day, it's not in the best condition, but it's an rc car and I can't pass them up when I see them. I'm pretty sure it's a grasshopper, but just want to confirm it.

That appears to be a Grasshopper. looks like the 380 has been replaced with a 540 motor and it has the CRP front shock and tower upgrade. Thanks to the re-re's parts are plentiful to get this back on the road

Thanks for confirming that for me. I doubt I'll fix it up and keep it, I have to many cars sitting around now. I'm just going to sell this one off for a parts or repair car, maybe I can find someone who needs the parts? Thanks again... Damon

Honestly it's isn't worth much, you should have fun with it. Build it up and do all the crazy stuff you did as a kid. I once set up a Grasshopper 2 with a 12 turn motor, it was a wild rocket. The rear tires would balloon as is screamed by on the street.

Yeah, I see what you are saying about not worth much. Some really nice one's have sold for as little as $40.00 on eBay. I'll just put it aside for now and maybe get it up and running one of these days and take it out and give it hell...

Since it says Mopar on it, I'm thinking they put in a 440.
