Hobby King is closing these out at $99 so I had to finally get one.
They have some really cool features, and they are 1/10 scale too

I am stunned by how much you get for the money. I’ll get a receiver in it as soon as I catch up on work

Sweet bike though, especially for a hundred bucks! Does it just take a regular surface receiver like you would run in a car?

There’s a spot opposite the speed control. Modern receiver will have plenty of room

Here’s some pics of it ready to roll out. I found some 1/2 size deans plugs that fit well. Never seen them before. Not sure why our balance plugs need to be 6’ long but I’ll tackle that another day

I ran it just a little tonight, I will need to put the training wheels on it after all. It leans too far and you can’t bring it back up. Just like the old Kyosho bikes. I might make up some Kyosho style skids as the training wheels look silly. I will say it’s quite a bit faster than the old Kyoshos and seems stable, and turn in is great. These don’t shift weight and they don’t even have a very heavy front wheel- it’s amazing they are as stable as they are.

They make an optional rear wheel gyro but stock... Nothing. Like I say, it’s incredible that it’s as stable as it is haha!

I’m working on the skids in my head. The training wheels look stupid AF. They use a wing mount style holder for them, so it’s easy to substitute a piece of piano wire. I know they get tore up quickly but they will look a lot better for sure

My first one was a early Kyosho bike, pre-HOR, and it was the beat handling bike I’ve owned. The Royal Hyperspeed was fun but mainly because it was so fast
