Got a little bit done on this last night. Aaron hooked me up with some Yokomo rod end balls for the rear camber links, and the plan was to use rere AE white shock rod ends on them. I tried a black one I had on the ball and it fit pretty snug. But these white ones are simply too loose...... especially if race it at the Vonats one day. So for now I will leave them on, but will have to swap them out for racing. Or put actual white Yoke rod ends on them.

Life is short. Waste it wisely.
Yeah, most likely run the Traxxas wheels on the back. They will give the dot a lot more surface area to stick to. I'll just try to dye the outers red first so the opening for the nut is not white..... see if it takes.
I dropped a pair of Traxxas wheels in about a 1/4" of red dye to see it they would take. They do, so I'm good to go with my plans. Now I'm gonna use them on the rear of my carpet car to check the durability of them.
Not much, but I got new JC Racing wings for both Masami modern reps. I also spent some time on MCI's website designing a sticker sheet to complete all 3 of my Masami replicas. Just need to have them made, and get the bodies painted for these 2. A few electronics too.
Trying to get this one done for this year's Vonats. Still waiting on some parts, so cutting it close. But Darkside Designs got the body painted for me, and I got it trimmed and stickered when it got back yesterday. That's it for now.
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
I picked up an almost RTR Worlds car a few weeks before Christmas. This one is going to become a modernized replica of Masami's rc10 he used to win the '94 Florida Winterchamps.

So this is what I started with....

Nothing new. I have to get electronics for it, paint a body, gather proper sticker.
This should be my last Worlds build. Should.....
So, this one is going to be a modern replica of the rc10 Mark Pavidis used to win the '95 Reedy International race. Since I am starting off with a new kit, I probably won't take all that long...

Very very nice work, i like the nose plate. Looks very smooth.
On this car we can see lots of knowledge and effort.
:D
Sooooooo, when you get 3 of the kits and none of them are being built stock, you tend to have a lot of parts left over. And of course, you just have to do something with them.
I finished 2nd yesterday in the classic class with my Tamiya Manta Ray. Had a great battle for the lead, but caught the pipe with like 40-45 sec left and couldn't catch back up. I'll update that build thread later.
I had plans to build up another B1.5 for next year's race. But A-main Hobbies was blowing out Worlds kits last week, and with the coupon codes on top of it, I could not pass up buying one. It'll be so much cheaper for me in the long run. So I got...

Ahh, I do that all the time... waste money on stuff that I thought would work and it doesn't or it's a part that I already have!
So last week, I made a deal with a fellow racer that was looking to move some re-release items. I didn't think it would be that much, but it turned out to be 1 complete car minus a body and wheels, and maybe 75-80% to build...

Looking forward to seeing another one of your awesome builds Jason! Hope associated does another run of these worlds cars.
I watched this car on CL for a few months and was able to grab it a few weeks ago. The guy built it and drove it around his yard a few times. Tub is still perfect.
This will be my new dirt car. Tore it all down and started doing a few chassis...
I shuffled some parts around and now can move forward on another one of these. I couldn't do the chassis mods i typically like to do because they were already redone in blue. The only thing I did do was move the servo forward to get a little more...
