My Andy's Build

Post by Inevergrewup »

This is my Andy's Build. Trying to use as much Andy's as I can on this build. Still missing a few pieces.

That appears to be the truck chassis. What else are you planning to do with it?

Well, I thought it was a Pro Race. But I want to keep it as a buggy. I have a nice vintage Tekin esc I want to install. Need a vintage reciever. Going to be a shelfer. Not sure about wheels yet. I have a few options on hand.

+1 on it being a truck chassis. I didn't realize the truck chassis even existed until I picked one up on eBay unknowingly. Andy's made both standard width and narrower width fronts that came with the Pro Race Kit.

What front suspension goes on the truck chassis? I have a buggy bulkhead and arms on it now. This chassis is not drilled for the RC10T bulkhead (I originally thought it was). I have a new Andys front bumber ordered off Ebay, its the wide body mount bumper but I think it will look better than what it on it now. I also had to order front wheel bearings to fit my wheel choice. Once I get these parts installed I will post new pics. Does anyone know if the buggie bodies will fit this? Thank you for any info.

So its been slow night at work... I answered all my own questions by reading past posts on this chassis. I think I am going to leave the front suspension setup just like it is. As far as a body... I think I want to find a Protech IV for the YZ-10. I cant find one on Ebay, but there is a Sabula Tech Yokomo YZ10 Protech Body. I assume this would be about the same thing???

I ordered the body on Ebay today. I would like to find some TQ-70 front tires for it. Want do you all think of the spinners? I am not sure they look quite right. Might look better with blue anodized nuts.

I'm personally not a huge fan of the spinners on a buggy. I think that using nuts would look nicer and the blue would go well with the Litesink. Do you have a color scheme for the body yet?
