So, what did you do RC today?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

Did a little more work on the Brat/Mud Blaster hybrid.

Got the electronics mounted and wired up, made an aluminum antenna mount, extended the body posts, and added a reproduction JG bumper.

Started painting my very first RC body since circa 1994-95. Fingers crossed.

I tried to beat up on AE, but couldn't make it happen. Need to devise another tact. :D

What do you do when you have an A stamp chassis and transmission laying around, as well as a 10T nose and suspension?

Rounded it out with some old ECX shocks and cheap electronics from the parts box.

Just finished up painting the RC10 DS RERE body. Decals next, then it'll be done and displayed next to the other 3 RERE kits from this year. After a test drive of course.

I took the current team of pullers out for a comp today. Lots of bad runs, but lots learned!!! :wink: I think my Sportsman actually won its class, but not 100% as there is a rules question, so waiting on the official results. :? So nice to get back into RC competition though! Make a run, get it back in the pits and make changes, then run again! Making changes to one rig while prepping to run another rig in a few minutes! The three rigs combo was very exciting, but I really want to bring a fourth into the mix very soon. :D

Painted up a new body for the brushless junker truck I picked up really cheaply for AUS$40... then proceeded to throw money at!.

Was a great base, just needed a few things:
- new wheels and tyres (only came with three);
- new body (got it in a lot, so no extra expense ;) ). Old lid is usable, but cracked;
- new front drive shafts (was too much of a handful as a RWD);
- replaced the steering servo with something that can actually turn the big wheels; and
- threw away the LiPo battery that came with it (but had expired).

This is now ready for running....

The RC10B74.2D got wrenched on a bit today and the Graphite and B7D both got driven at the park.

B7 and B74 are new, built over the last month. Feeling a bit poor now :lol:

It is not exactly about today, but it's today that I sorted the pictures taken by my son...
Saturday and Sunday, we were in Montluçon again for the Montluçonnaise - Speciale edition... A full week-end of Vintage RC...
I set my stand arriving early on Saturday morning as usual. This time there was about 25 cars on my table (including my son's Fantom (my former one) and his Super Hotshot).

The weather on Saturday was far from perfect... There was expected improvement for the end of the morning, but it only came late afternoon...
Image

As a result, we spent lot of time discussing in the stands and very few dare to run their cars...

This time, I won prices for the Super Hotshot bodyshell in the off road category, and the Coors was second in the on road category...
Image

The weather did not improved until very late afternoon... And as usual in this type of conditions, the Lunchbox is my primary pick...
Image

On his side, my son decided the Fantom would be the ideal drift car... No way to heat the foam tires on the track that day...
Image
Image

Some ran their 1/8 cars and were ready to have hard time cleaning... While other preferred to go onroad to limit cleaning work...

My Manx made its first run...

Image

I also ran the Mercury 4Xi, but that was not really a success as I broke the wing at the first jump...

Some other cars spot on the runs...

The weather wa sbetter in the evenning, and we went to bed very early on sunday after soem runs on the onroad track which was finally drying, but was till quite sliperry...

On Sunday morning the weather was nice, and around 10, we could increase the pace on the track, and it was super nice to run on the track with the Fantoms (there was three on the track at that time)...
Unfortunately, we had to leave in the morning... That was again a great week-end...
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them :-)

Had a little bit of spare time today so I took a fairly stock grasshopper I had kicking around and added some parts that I had been saving up. Aluminum wheels, bumper, steering arms, nerf bars, gearbox, gearbox hangers, oil shocks, and a copy of a cyclone front end. Also threw some hornet tires on it since I'm not a huge fan of the paddles. A 3D printed a resistor to put in the back because it just kind of helps the look - I'm actually printing a mechanical speed control right now as I think it needs it. The speed control is tucked away down low out of the way so you won't see it, I'll just put some short fake wires on the fake speed control.

Got around to starting to finalize the design and getting to printing the body for a garden tractor puller. Trying to go for a legit ~70s lawn tractor, so the chrome and M/Ts will be going away. Started off with just a scaled up 1:25 file, but ended up making some many adjustments that I just started over from scratch.
