Yes the Slash got me back into driving my RC's! Have been building and not driving for too long. I liked the truck so much I went out and got a MINI Slash and MINI Revo. The new paint looks good, more along the lines of the stock Traxxas design....
Finished the car over the weekend, mixture of oldish electrics. Still prefer the feel of brushed motors

My son & I finally had a good warm ( dry ) day to run our trucks.

Yup,I lubed 'em up with a little Stealth Diff Lube.
That REVO had a shattered front bulkhead,a snapped steering mount stay and a snapped steering bumpstop arm,but you couldn't tell by driving it!
It's all back to good,now.

I agree the mini slash isjunk, the mini revo is a lot better. A few guys here race Duratrax vendettas and those are pretty good. They handle really well, have tons of hop-ups available and are cheap to buy. The asc 1/18th cars just don't seem to be...

I was just playing with my dog to keep her in frame. This thing does at least 40+mph the way it's geared now.

i got one of those in a trade in the early 90's. my used 10lss for his new built (unused) ls2. i raced it once, i won the a-main, and sold it that day to the only other traxxas driver that finished dead last with his. :P
im on a hunt for a rc i once wanted. double decker chassis, made out of that white fiberglass stuff you see on the rc500.

The only problem with a spring is that if you have a high torque servo than the spring may not be strong enough to return it. Then you have to get a stronger spring but that puts more strain on the servo making it less powerful therefore defeating...
