TMI thumbs. I hear they've got some lipo for that now too....it's called viagra right?

Thanks for all the weighing in I'm enjoying reading how everyone else uses their cars. To me, it's always been competition based, so I find it difficult to just drive in random directions. I guess setting up an informal course is still not racing, so that's how I suppose I'll "get my bash on." If the mood strikes, I can always just start timing my laps.

Speaking of timed laps, I've often wondered if SCCA autocross style RC would be any fun? See, if you only have a few guys, you cannot really race with no marshals. What if you raced the clock; taking turns running and marshalling, and timing your runs. It wouldn't be head to head, but there would still be some level of competition..

There's always Dash for Cash style racing too. Anyone's track do those- no marshals, last car upright and still making laps wins? That could be done grassroots style too.

What's the deal with the guys chasing their RC cars around the track in that video?? Kinda defeats the whole purpose of "radio control" if the "drivers" have to follow their cars around the track! On the other hand, that could make things a lot more interesting if ALL the drivers had to chase their cars around the track at the same time...RC racing--with body contact!!

that's scale stage rc, kinda neat, but thats how they do it. the courses are huge and there's no way a driver stand could work.

i'll be honest....i'm too fat for that. lol

For me and my son it is the classic drag races up and down the street, on the sidewalk, and jumping curbs. Sometimes I set up a jump in our driveway.

Bashing: Beating the f#ck out of an rc vehicle until the battery dies or something breaks.

Honestly, this needs to be asked?

Yes, in fact. Like I said, I came from the mentality of "these cars are for racing." My cars NEVER saw any run time unless they were racing or practicing. As stated, now that I have three kids and a much busier schedule, I don't have the time to race competitively, although I still tend toward race buggies- No plastic fantastic for me thank you. :D What I was getting at was how others go about enjoying their cars when NOT racing. I think most of us would agree, beating up your stuff just to break and and spend more money doesn't seem very enjoyable. THAT is why I questioned "bashing."

To put it another way, how do you recreationally run your cars?
