What do you use to initially clean up plastics

I used ot use pledge, forget why some guys at track did. Pledge and a tooth brush to scrub plastics.

What do others use, simple green royal purple or anything?

Depends a lot on the materials but either Dawn or Awesome (from the dollar store). Purple power is good stuff too

Soapy water in an ultrasonic cleaner. Does a great job at loosening the dirt, usually just needs a swill under the tap. I then use a little GT85 just to give a bit of a shine.

+1 on the ultrasonic cleaner too, works great!

gain was making this degreaser soap for a while but I cant find it anymore. Ive never seen something clean black grease off parts so easily.

and yea, ultra sonic cleaner is good too. I use one both for cleaning and greased lightning baths on alloy parts.

Fast Orange Hand Cleaner on all white plastic parts. Not only does it clean off grease and mud, it also does a good job of whitening.

WD-40 and a toothbrush works great for me, for quickly removing grease & dirt from any surface.

Like most others here, I use an ultrasonic cleaner. That and a tumbler are great investments!

what ultra sonic cleaners are you guys using, with what fluid in them.

one i used the pledge to scrub the part. but also left it looking shiny new basically.

All it does is dislodge the dirt & grease. Toothbrush does the same thing.
