Cool project!
And just a question about cars like these. Is belt slap ever a concern? Where the belt cogs hit each other and cause wheel lockup or just momentary loss of power?
How dare you question my design
It’s possible, there is a lot of flex and twisting in the chassis, especially in the rear, so in my case, I’m planning on bracing it to help eliminate some of the flex.
Another thing is tensioning and belt spacers, which are possible solutions and safeguards against the belt running into each other

A simple piece of lexan works well to keep em separated too
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
Haha, no bad intentions in my questioning. I was actually going to mention exactly what Jeff did if you hadn’t already made a plan for it. It just looked really close in the pictures I saw

I was just kidding, I wouldn’t have gotten this far without all the suggestions, recommendations, and ideas, so keep them coming

Just curious if you have ran this yet?
I ran it a bit in my bedroom, when we get better weather, I’ll put in some electronics and have at it, I can always run it at my local carpet track, but I don’t want to buy tires just to run it there

Decided to get my original RC-10 ready to race again. The body was on loan in 2009 to my first version of my Old Is New, but now it is back where it belongs.
I did have a mid conversion on this, but I decided to put the pan back on.
Here's a few pictures of my RC10T, it's the same truck I ran at last year's VONATs, but this time around, it's sporting the quick change conversion kit, along with JC Rulux wheels.
The body it's an RC10T2 body, with RPM body mounts.

As soon as I put some electronics on it, I'll take some body off pictures.... :D
After attending the 08 & 09 VONATs and seeing how much fun it was, I've decided to start searching for a Classic entry for next years race. I believe the rules are basically any pre-1994 entry level vehicle. What vehicles would you recommend for...

One of my racing buddies that is planning on making the trip this year has a Falcon ready to go. Basically he is using 2.2 wheels off of a Desert Gator (the same grey solid wheels I had on my 08 Frog). HPI hex adapter in the rear allows the use of...
I watched this car on CL for a few months and was able to grab it a few weeks ago. The guy built it and drove it around his yard a few times. Tub is still perfect.
This will be my new dirt car. Tore it all down and started doing a few chassis...
Hi, this is the RC10T I raced last year and plan to race again this year in the Vintage Offroad Nationals. Alot of this truck is original parts I used to race with in the early 90's. I have also made a rear shock tower due to not being able to find...

Looks like the truck needs some work this year. It doesn't seem to handle the new track layout as well as last year.
If you are still making those carbon battery hold downs please PM me...Thanks...:)
