I haven't progressed on this build because I realized my lower chassis is the SHORTER version, and doesn't fit my upper deck. It doesn't have the servo saver cutout either, which I believe is the easiest way to identify between the 2 different length chassis'. The upper deck I have if for the longer version.

I am now torn between waiting and hoping to find a longer lower chassis, or simply modifying the front of the upper deck to fit. Cutting the upper deck to fit would be simple enough, but it would mean it will never fit the longer chassis again. I would prefer to have the longer chassis.

Anyone want to trade?

Ask the tractor guy you bought it from if he has the matching part. He's been known to swindle people.

The pictures you have on the first page all look right. The cutout for the servo saver is for the truck. I don't think there was a middle length chassis, just truck and buggy. Where are the problems with the upper plate you are seeing?

Mine does have a servo saver hole…. Didn’t realize that till you said it. What about getting the correct length top deck from Jeff ? I see now that your top deck would pass the front of the lower chassis when mounted to the rear bulkhead. Seems like there were two different length buggy chassis’ then. Because my wheelbase is the same as the team graphite.

yeah, like i said, I don't think they made more than 2 rc10/t chassis. do the 4 extra support holes line up with the chassis?

Jwscab - That's not correct. There are 2 different lengths of theCC RC10 chassis and top plate. They have nothing to do with the CC RC10T chassis. I just happened to get a long top and short bottom chassis.

Jcwrks - Chad is a great seller. He immediately offered me a full refund when I noticed the issue.

MarkyDents - Exactly

Scr8p - The top plate is about 1/2" longer in the front. All the other mounts line up perfectly.

It looks like you could easily trim that front back to make it work that is if the back half is in the correct spot.

Yes, it's a simple job,and it would look the same. I'm just not sure if I want to use the shorter chassis, or wait and hopefully find a long one. Once I cut the top plate I can't go back.

So the chassis is a 1/2" shorter?

I'm gonna assume that if you shortened that brace to make it work, you'd probably have to out the " T "for servo arm clearance. Make it like the truck top plate.

Wow that's crazy. That's something I've never seen before, nor even heard of.

I have a broken short top deck if it would help as a template. Actually, I don't really know then what length the chassis is. Give me a dimension on the overall length or something to compare.

Jwscab - My top plate is the same as yours. Same length. However there is another version that is shorter in the front to fit my bottom chassis.

The picture below (isn't mine, its from a recent ebay listing) shows the short lower chassis (like I have) and a short upper deck (unlike mine). Notice the angle of the front triangles is different due to the shorter length.
