Re: How do you mount a wing??
if you are talking about wing wire, the hot trick is to put a bit of a curve in the wires that feed into the tube. Either a slight 'C' or 'S' in the wire will allow it to grip the inside diameter making it difficult to remove.
as for mounting the wing to the wire, hopefully you have the wing mounts, also called 'wing things' that connect the wire to the wing. small plastic or aluminum buttons. you drill holes in the wing, pass the buttons through each hole, then slide the wing wire into the button on the bottom side and secure with a set screw.

Re: How do you mount a wing??
Are you winging this without any instructions? Page 19 of the re-re manual explains it better than the original.

Also, he wing wire will be loose in the aluminum wing tubes. Give the ends a tweak with some pliers so they stay in snug.

Re: How do you mount a wing??
Ahh now i understand. Oka, thanks a bunch! now i just got to make sure to drill the holes straight and all. Buut seems soooo inconvenient to do all that for the wing. but what evs. My rebuild is coming along beautifully! got the rear wheel conversion to 2.2 rims and works perfect! also switched out the old yellowed rear arms for my whitened ones i soakedin peroxidie but now i should find arms with a hole for a rear sway bar! i noticed my old ones had a sway bar mounting hole and the newly whitened ones don't! but its fine, im soaking the old ones in peroxide now so im gonna look at them when i get back from school.

The holes didn't come in the arms to mount a sway bar. You had the drill them yourself if you wanted to run one.

Re: How do you mount a wing??
The RC10 manual refers to "instructions in the wing bag".
Does anybody have a copy of these instructions?
In particular I wonder if those instructions give measurements for where to bend and cut the wing wire.
- Does it give specific measurement for where the bends should be in relation to one another?
- Does it give instructions on how long the "legs" of the wing wire should be for correct wing height?
Or is the builder supposed to make their own measurements and determine their own wing height?
Thanks!

Re: How do you mount a wing??
Yep, you just "wing" it.
I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.
