1985 IFMAR Offroad 1/10 World Championships

Post by HBrownJr »

I traveled to Del Mar in July of 1985 to attend the first 1/10 scale off road championships. I had a 35mm SLR camera and took 50+ pictures. Some good, some not so good. The pictures were on display in my hobby shop until I closed it in the early 90's. If you want to take a look I have them in an album on Flickr.

Just wonderful , thank you so much :D
Some of the pictures are of cars so modified it's untrue , a Grasshopper with a hotshot gearbox and double wishbone front suspension , the prototype Samurai on track 8) and to my surprise a heavily modded SRB still kicking in 85 :!:

Thank you for taking those pictures in 1985! Amazing photos, and a real treasure!
I posted photos from a Japanese magazine on the 1985 race on this forum, so I am very happy I got to see your photos to see what is was like.
Feel free to add your experiences /comments from attending the race if you still remember :)
