Re: CAT K1
They need to throw a towel on it like in the original top cat teasers. Except leave the towel on cause that thing is hideous!
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Yeah, i'm no fan of cab forward either, but if it helps handling i suppose i can cope. Usually there's some aftermarket body options anyway.
Word on the street is that this might be Schumacher's first shaft driven buggy Maybe gearded diffs too, who knows?

Re: CAT K1
Def a FTW shell, they're the most cartoonish of all of them. I wish that 1/10 4wd would pick up again, and shortbus would go away........ LiverRC had the same teaser, just hope its as US based as they say since Xray just won the Czech nats (insert joke here) with the new XB4
Re: CAT K1
Well how wrong can the rumour mill be
http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/Car_Showroom/CAT_K1.html
Going back to a mid motor, twin belt system and a much more simplified design. And the lack of purple
I find it interesting that the team drivers prefer these small bore shocks fitted with big bore springs.
Paul.

Re: CAT K1
This new car looks sweet in the pics they've posted, love the matt black finish on the shell and black wheels...kind of gives me some ideas for my vintage builds..oh no!

Re: CAT K1
This makes me really want to go new first time in about twenty years! I was totally on the hook with the SWB and hung along including Procat.
As stated in the ad this was going to be an "Electric Powered buggy which continues the race winning tradition of Schumachers legendary CAT ‘Competition All Terrain’ vehicles". True to tradition this certainly is… Seems shaft drive and gear diff still is a bit hard to jump off for the inventor of the ball diff and their up to date production line of belt drives.

Actually, they missed a trick, maybe they should of painted the car like Masami's, which had the black wheels....that would of beenLurkingCAT wrote:This makes me really want to go new first time in about twenty years! I was totally on the hook with the SWB and hung along including Procat.

Re: CAT K1
Yeah, that would have been way cool, i like the all black look, but not sure i'm keen on the matt black body.
Another nice thing that's in the option list of the K1 is these printed carbon look wings, all my current race buggies are going to get them fitted for next season

Re: CAT K1
If it wasn´t for the wing, I´d have thought the front was in that end.CAT3K wrote:Mmmm new generation of CATs heading our way soon : http://www.redrc.net/2012/11/schumacher-cat-k1-teaser/
