The problem is the cost of retooling a kit like that is high and the number of customers is low (not Traxxas numbers by any means). If you just adjust for inflation alone your looking at a $250-300 kit I suspect.

I also suspect that the people that want one never drove one. I can honestly say they looked great, but they weren't a performer.

I've never driven one, but I've seen the pictures...I don't even think they looked all that great...kind of like a hodge-podge. AE should've just designed a 4WD offroad buggy from a blank slate rather than kludge one together from an RC10 chassis. :P

I drove one on a track (not mine) and had a new built one with the flouro pink powder coated chassis bitd

I won't say it was horrible but that era we had Lazers and yokomos...it just wasn't the same. Rear motor was out by then

Eustace has repeatedly said that it wasn't economically feasible to rere the kit. Buts I've learned to never say never because they rere'd the sand scorcher, bruiser and rc10

I'd personally like to see a rereleased version but at the same time, I'd like to make one on my own. Somehow making the sc10 4x4 system work would be nice.

Why not just buy a B44 instead?

Tamiya and Associated know what we want, when is Kyosho going to jump on the wagon? I still want my Turbo Optima Mid SE. (I didn't opt for the Bruiser but did get my Super Champ).

b/c the 10 is the only associated car that I like to work with.

If i wanted a 4x4 car, ill go get a traxxas b/c it end up as a basher either way.

His brand is much better if the "Legend" stays just that. The Moore family still owns MIP right? And they've kept it in the black, making aftermarket parts for the worlds fastest cars since 1980 or so right? Yeah I believe him too. But would replace "economically feasible" with "at all smart". And I agree with SCR8P
