Re: New bolt-in mid motor conversion project
Last night I printed the tower I designed and put it, along with the newest trans case and bulkhead versions on the car. Thanks to Jeff for the tower model, which I was able to modify to fit my bulkhead. So far so good!

Looks great. Are you building this around having an arms-forward short-wheelbase for any specific reason?

I don't think there's anything I'm doing that would prevent it from running in LWB. I'll test it out some time though since you brought it up.Bottom Feeder wrote:Looks great. Are you building this around having an arms-forward short-wheelbase for any specific reason?

Sorry, no progress recently I've been sooooo swamped I haven't had time. Maybe soon I'll pick it up again, it's fairly close, just need to iron out some details.

Unfortunately, no
If it makes you feel any better though, I looked at it on my bench the other day and thought, "Man, this thing looks cool, I need to finish it up!"
I hope to wrap it up this winter

Good man! Get it finished and strap on some tyres and go race it!
I'm sure it'll go great, my laydown yz2 RC10 goes very well on turf

If in doubt go flat out!

Brian, when your ready for motor plates get ahold of Durb. Derrick does very nice work!

Re: New bolt-in mid motor conversion project
What's the status on the bolt-in laydown trans project? I'm nearing the end of a mid-motor build with a Trackmaster belt drive, but I'm leaning towards using a Stealth trans instead and a laydown would be even better. Is your trans case an off-the-shelf part or custom printed?
Thx.
Thx.

Re: New bolt-in mid motor conversion project
Here I am just browsing RC10talk for the first time in months and I stumble over this as I was just about to PM the guy telling him I can make the plates for him lol. Thanks!
