I got some green screws and more hex conversions than I have buggies. I think I can start a thread for most expensive hex conversations. I think I have every way recommended to convert to hex and 0 cars using them….

Where'd you find it?Frankentruck wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 6:38 pm I probably won't get a chance to try and dig up my old FrankenOptima until Thanksgiving weekend, and that seems like way too long to wait. Had to get a re-re while the getting is still good, just to scratch that itch.

Be careful with those, they are well known for snapping in half. They also strip very easily.

Micheal's RC Hobbies has the Optima and Javelin in stock. I asked if they might have a Turbo Optima too and they did. I'd asked several other stores that had Optimas. Michael was the only one to respond.R6cowboy wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 9:12 amWhere'd you find it?Frankentruck wrote: ↑Mon Aug 30, 2021 6:38 pm I probably won't get a chance to try and dig up my old FrankenOptima until Thanksgiving weekend, and that seems like way too long to wait. This week brought an aluminum upper deck and two spare LiPo batteries for my 144001, a turnbuckle and ball diff set for my Sand Viper, some bulk 4-40 hardware (I'll never buy expensive little bags of screws ever again!), and an ISDT 608AC charger.

Just to add, I emailed Michael's and they do not have any more Turbo's in stock.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 11:23 amMicheal's RC Hobbies has the Optima and Javelin in stock. Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
that's not so great. Ugly and faulty... I no longer wonder why the Re-Re's stopped being made. It's sounds like the manufacturing simply wasn't there to produce what was being made 2 decades before. The color is likely a result of the recipe for a quality alloy and being applied to an inferior one.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 10:24 amBe careful with those, they are well known for snapping in half. If you aren't set on using AE screws, I'd highly recommend the Team KnK set. I have their stainless screws on several of my cars.JosephS wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:21 pmthat's not so great. Honestly this was a shot in the dark. I've been scouring paces with crappy inventory control systems and poor shipping practices for hard to find parts. I was hoping that these weren't the green screws and I was willing to take the risk for $2 on top of my order.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:26 pmIf you aren't set on using AE screws, I'd highly recommend the Team KnK set. Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
New body shells and shocks,
Seriously fast service from Team Bluegroove, i'll be ordering off them again soon, Lazer zx shell, original rocky body for my belt conversion project, and some 70mm alloy shocks.
Also a hornet body from a New Zealand hobby shop, got a car thrown in for free, cant resist adding it to the growing project list.
I think im obsessive and may need help.
Keep safe, look after each other
