Hey guys. I just received some unfortunate news that our bud shodog, Jim Peacock, was killed in a motorcycle accident earlier this month. His son sent me a message a little bit ago on his account.
His son is an r/c enthusiast as well. So he's going to try and keep Jim's account going.
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
I’ve only been around here a short time, doesn’t take too long to pick up on how someone is. I’m sure his presence will be missed here and further more by his friends and family.
Best wishes to them. RIP Jim.
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out
Damn.... that's a kick in the goolies for sure. Jim was one of those people that I always had respect for... certainly his builds were more often than not out of this world, but he was always good to chat with, and happy to share his experiences. I'll miss his builds, and his positive attitude.
RIP Shodog... you will be missed

Look out for Todd K. - he's a convicted serial killer!!!
One of the giants here is lost, terrible news, my heart goes out to his family.
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
I am pretty devastated hearing this news. Jim was one of my go-to people for help and advice, and we chatted a lot both on here and through Fb. He has helped me out with a lot of parts for my builds and always went out of his way to dig though his stash to locate unusual bits and bobs for my cars. The gold Phoenix alloys on my Supercharge Hotshot from BOTM earlier this year were down to his generosity and now have a much more meaningful place in my collection.
Receiving a positive comment from shodog on a build always felt like a big thing.
He will be hugely missed by myself, and across the hobby.
RIP Jim.

This morning it was relayed to me that Don (Thunderstrike) passed away in October. I think most on here know he has been plagued with health problems for many years. While I'm sad for his family, at the same time..... I feel relief for him. :(...

I've been away from the forum for a while, focused on other hobbies and aspects of life, and missed this news until now. Sorry to hear about Don's passing and condolences to the loved ones he leaves behind. RIP Don.
I've had a stock notification for the #6310 gold nose plate for quite some time. Last night, I get an email saying This item has been discontinued . :(

I was afraid that it was another bankruptcy notice.
Has anyone been able to find a anodizing service that can match the original RC10's color?
Sad News, the owner of Panther Tires was involved in a motorcycle accident last week and has left us. I had met him, but didnt know whom he was, other than another racer at the track. No muss, no fuss, no whoopla, just another guy with the passion....

Man that sucks. Me and my friends had only recently discovered Panther tires, and loved them.
Hey guys, I haven’t been around here much lately, been too involved in providing my Son with his own Vintage memories. But when I read this I immediately thought of you guys and gals. Sorry if this is a duplicate post, but I didn’t see it anywhere...

Thats a shame. If it wasn't for him a lot of us wouldn't be here.

Thank you for the reminder! I was just browsing the interwebz getting ready to sleep (it's 1:30am here in Toronto). After reading this thread, I finally took the time to gather all my lipos and put them in the ammo box. I've been meaning to put them...
Sad news to share with the community, Daryl Lane passed away Monday morning following a long health battle. He was the original partner in A&L with Chris Alec and later owner of Factory Works. Daryl was an OG in R/C racing and a mad scientist...

RIP Daryl!
Having the opportunity to buy several kits from you in person, which I enjoyed so much as a kid in the 1980s was such an honor.
Well I got my rc4wd tf2 to day and all was going well till I go to put the rear shock mount /x member in , it should have been 6 mm but it measure in at 6.31 mm . Waiting to hear back from rc4wd. Has any one here had this problems?

Just an FYI for you all ! The junfac drive shafts that people are saying work on the tf2 are the 95-130. For the ax10 , you will need to move the axels out and lengthen the wheel base. I should have got the scx10 set that has the 82- 117 and 95-130....
As some of you know I've been busy doing a restoration/rally preparation on a converted to RHD 1972 Datsun 510 for a long time friend who was diagnosed with mesothelioma (basically asbestos poisoning, which affects the respiratory system). The...
