Some sad news....
This morning it was relayed to me that Don (Thunderstrike) passed away in October. I think most on here know he has been plagued with health problems for many years. While I'm sad for his family, at the same time..... I feel relief for him.
Rest in peace, Don.

Rip Don
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Some sad news....
Well it had been awhile since we heard from Don, but he always came back!
Such a bummer, but as already mentioned above probably a relief for him.
I, and I am sure others will miss his RAMBLING posts
Don and I shared the same exact Birthdate (Jan 21, 1965) so we had something other than RC in common.
Sad news.
HE WILL BE MISSED

Re: Some sad news....
That is indeed sad news as he was a staple on here and ClodTalk for many years. It's a shame that the later part of his life had to revolve around his failing health and family issues. It always came across that he wasn't getting the proper care from the VA (Veterans Affairs) healthcare system. As someone who has watched their parents deal with them due to my father, I feel it was a contributing factor to his poor quality of life and ultimate demise.
Hopefully continually coming here to give us periodic updates was comforting to him in some way. Just making the effort to, shows he knew we cared about him.
As been said, R.I.P Don!

Re: Some sad news....
Oh wow, sad news indeed. I always enjoyed seeing Don's posts pop up. He helped me with a few things over the years. His health issues were well documented, and I am glad he will finally get some peace. R.I.P. Don.
