$379.99 plus $0.99 shipping and they don't collect sales tax.

Very tempting. :D
Thanks for this!

LiquidRC still has stock, at $379 + $0.99 shipping and no tax. Surprised they don't put these on ebay.

Michaels says they have (6) still, at $399.

eBay costs the seller around 7% more than selling direct, so if they can sell it on their website its a better deal for them. Thats why my eBay stuff costs more than my website, because eBay charges for their service and I pass that along

Wonder why Amain chose to sell (78) on ebay, as opposed to their site, in that case. I see that they don't allow coupons on the 40th, at their site.

If it is anything like where I work, it most likely went like this:

Some dipsh## with a fancy title said "We can generate more sales by opening up another channel. Let's sell on eBay in addition to the web and the stores".

Each month, he makes a spreadsheet of what sold on eBay and labels it "additional revenue". He sends this report to another dipsh## with an even fancier title, who doesn't realize they are competing with themselves. The "additional revenue" actually cost them $2,200 in eBay fees they didn't need to pay.

The reach of ebay is where it is worth the extra percentage. I try to steer people to the website to save money once they know that we exist. I do find it odd that amain is oos on the website but was selling on ebay though, seems like a way to lose money on a sure thing

The reach is an interesting one for Amain at least, as they already have a captive audience, it is odd they opted to sell all of those essentially exclusively through eBay. Best I could come up with is they potentially save quite a bit by not having to hand out customer reward points redeemable for $$$ to their customers. Just a thought...

Consumer shopping habits are mind boggling. Do you point to the business for selling the items on eBay, or point to the customer for refusing to buy those items unless they're for sale on eBay?

I think part of why people buy off eBay is their "Money Back Guarantee"... which... ya know how that goes...

Michaels just went to $470.

It's making me think these really were a limited edition, to 5,000 units. Time will tell.

Seeing how they overextended themselves on the previous re-release. It makes sense to make a limited release. Hopefully it makes it more likely to see more releases.

Google search shows they are all of out of stock so I called my LHS as a last ditch effort and they said they have only 1!!! :D He agreed to hold it for me since they close soon so he said he will put it in the back with my name on it and let me pick it up tomorrow. 8)

I never owned the original but I bought the RC Graphite (#6025) as a kid and still have it today - all original except I bought the stealth tranny at the time and installed it as mine didn't come with it, see pics below of my humble collection... The only originals are my RC10G and HPI Porsche 911 GT3 (Factory Sealed) but glad to add the RC10 Classic to my collection!

Anyone feel if AE will do this for the Graphite or will they make us wait for that 40 year anniversary too (2029)?

Thanks! I owned one as a kid and bought it on eBay with box. It works too and is in like new condition.

Btw, I haven't told me wife yet about the RC10 Classic. I'll try to sneak it home tomorrow and see how long it takes her to notice it... :P
