Re: RC10Talk community build
we have this one pretty well lined up because I wanted to make sure we could pull it off. I think for the next one we will approach it differently. More of a "hot potato" method where you dont know who will get it next, or what part they will play. I can see this evolving into something that will be a lot of fun and bring some badly needed donations to the board.
Also, we can change up the rules later or as we go, but on this one I dont care if the next guy dyes my parts or paints them purple as long as it is done in the spirit of making for a better build and also not removing the parts I added. If something happens, say someone wants to upgrade the rear bulkhead to an RPM part, all I would ask is that the person reach out to the one that installed it and gains permission, and sends the part back if they want it back. In the end, that part is an upgrade and would be welcomed imo. This isnt about egos or one upping everyone else, and I think the people I picked for this one will play very nicely together. In the future with the hot potato method we may change that up.

Re: RC10Talk community build
So cool, can't wait to see progress.
Edit- just now read Mach's post above.
Have to strongly agree with this. If other people down the line are allowed to redo what others' have put into the build, than its essentially taking away from the "community" build. Like ChisaiKuso mentioned, it would give people down the line all the creative rights and could take away some of the communities' creativity as a whole. Similar to the wheels example; whoever contributes a painted body, no one afterwards should be allowed to re-paint the body.ChisaiKuso wrote: ↑Thu May 06, 2021 1:22 am On this I respectfully disagree. Each person is not necessarily getting to add their own details if the next person can change those details. If you add something with blue anodizing, then the next guy should not get to change that anodizing to purple. What if the guy after him hates purple and decides to polish the parts instead? Similarly, if I were to contribute a rare set of hot pink wheels, then someone getting the car after me should not be allowed to dye those wheels black. Building the car as you are suggesting means that the people at the end of the line essentially have all of the creative rights and get the final say in the outcome of the build.

Re: RC10Talk community build

Re: RC10Talk community build
Someone committed a sp1 or change box for it. I think the sp1 would be the better fit for the car

The updates seem to all be on Facebook. Jason added a front clip and cleaned up some parts before sending it to Joe and now on to Roger for shocks
