Ebay junk
So I have been buying off ebay for almost 20 years now and recently have noticed people listing rc parts intentionally leaving damage out of the ad and when you question it the blame is always placed on the buyer. Just not cool all together

Report it to Ebay. They almost always side with the buyer.

Re: Ebay junk
Yeah I have its just b.s. that people will stoop to a that level selling trash to good hardworking people and when it gets brought up the seller usually finds some way to blame the buyer

I've been running into that as well. Photos that kina show something is wrong but it's very difficult to tell.Toyotachris1982 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 5:30 pm So I have been buying off ebay for almost 20 years now and recently have noticed people listing rc parts intentionally leaving damage out of the ad and when you question it the blame is always placed on the buyer. Re: Ebay junk
Yep the good old "no returns accepted due to the nature of the hobby" kind of like saying jokes on you when you see they gave you the shaft. Just a real crumby thing to do. This hobby should bring happiness to people not frustration and remorse. Just my thoughts anyways I guess I have morals where some unfortunately do not

Re: Ebay junk
Should start posting up ebay names on doing garbage things like for example avoid Jay's hobbies like the plague he sells lots of things on ebay and he is as crooked as they come. If you see Canada shipping and its him you need to be sure of what you are buying he is a real piece of work and it will always be your fault

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: Ebay junk
They can say that returns aren't accepted all they want. But if you report it to Ebay as not being what was advertised, they will likely side with you. If he doesn't want to cooperate, they will charge his account and refund it to you.

Re: Ebay junk
Not everyone has access to the bst area tho.
Returns may not be accepted but if it is not as described that’s a different matter (as mentioned above)
My last used purchase off eBay was a big bear that looked remarkably good. Got it and all 4 tires were perma flat. He took pics at all the right angles and always had the flat part hidden well.

It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Ebay junk
I bought this RC10 without noticing there was no diff spring/nut. I didn't zoom in and scrutinize every detail. Auction said may be missing some parts. Yep, it is. The diff assembly doesn't stay like that by itself with the nut missing... other than for photos.

Re: Ebay junk
Yeah that seems shady, just like in that picture there are no dogbones. For the most part if something small is missing I feel better off than if something is damaged, like glued together a-arms, or radios missing battery trays.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Thu Jul 14, 2022 11:25 pm I bought this RC10 without noticing there was no diff spring/nut. Re: Ebay junk
There's no problem selling junk if its clearly listed as such , some people's idea of a shelf queen is that a glued together part is OK as its not going to run or show, I'd buy broken parts for CAD modelling if the price was right .EvolutionRevolution wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 6:32 am...or...you mention it in the ad!Toyotachris1982 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 12:43 am Its just not cool. If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.
A problem shared is a problem halved but an advantage shared is no advantage at all.
