Just a couple of nice pics of a really cool car. Has full radio gear, sport tuned motor etc, but will probably only sit on the shelf. Road cars aren't really my thing, only got it because it's a Porsche
Hope u like the pics

That turned out great. drop a brushless and a set of oil filled dampers in and you will have a very capable runner.
That sucks, I just spent (in my mind) way too much for a NIP bodyset. I guess the parts will become cheap here shortly to those restoring an older one.....

No sorry but I have pictures of the car at the track I will scan them and post them
I have a ton of parts from auctions I have won over the past several months and being the type of person who can't throw anything away I decided to see if I could put some of them to good use. I have had the two black rear rims for a while and I...

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'll post some more pics with the driver and shell when they're done.
Just finished this for my Father, thought I'd take it to the beach for a good flogging before it goes on the shelf.
Painted Mettalic Red, orange bits painted metallic black, had the wheels chromed, custom made nudge bar, custom made rear tow bar for...
I just picked up a DF02 4wd buggy for the kids to use next season to get some more practice on the track. They got pretty good at getting their Grasshoppers around the track this past year- which is no small task in stock form with a 27t motor. They...

I'm pretty surprized though cause yous aid it ran quiet when you changed the moter position.
I was rather expecting the pinion to strip the spur in no time.

I have been busy stripping paint, removing old stickers, etc from some of my recent acquisitions. The Blackfoot is getting close, just a few really stubborn parts left before I can start on the paint. Since I have to paint outside it'll be spring...
Hey everyone, just introducing myself. My name is Bill, Ive got a old King Blackfoot that Im messin' with.
I bought it like 8 years ago, but for the last 5 or so it sat in my attic. I just ran accross it the other day and decided to blow the dust...

With the hotshot already out for 2 years you might have an easier time picking up the rereleased boomerang: Inside the gearcases they are identic to the hotshot and the boomerang is/was a slightly improved hotshot overall.
On the other hand, 3 year...
Got a few runs under my belt with my new M-03 Mini.
What a blast of a car!
Even more, when I bolted in a Reedy MVP 27 turn stock motor...When I took the body off,the inside of the body and the front of the chassis was covered in rubber from the...

The tamiya Avante was the tamiya car i always wanted.
When i was young i could not affort it , but now i could get a great deal and took it.
It is not mint , but in great condition.
A car that quite impressed me when i was 12  The Supershot , now in my collection 8)

I picked up a cheap M-01 Mini to blow up with my 5700kv Brushless, but the darn thing survived.
I have since found out it's a Monte Carlo edition.
Everytime I ask someone about the best mods/upgrades for the little M-01,I get told to by an M-03.

Can any Tamiya aficionado's out there tell me if Tamiya Hi-Cap dampers are particularly rare or valuable? I've got a mint set of buggy dampers that came as spares with a Yokomo buggy. I'm guessing they were originally intended for an Egress?...

The Egress shocks & the set I've got are more silver / Titanium colour than pastel blue. I'm guessing the Boomerang had CVA shocks which were usable but not really race worthy (I used to race a Tamiya Thundershot - probably the same shocks). Back in...

G'day guys

OK, this is for you guys whom say I don't run anything or have anything in my collection that does run. Yes, we have one.... a Tamiya New Beetle dressed up to look like the 2000 Beetle Cup Spec car or RSi (Anthony should be so proud! )....

But.... a lemon is a lemon, it is just not a good car regardless of how much $$ and time spent. Yes, it can run but it is really very rusty when compare with a RC10. Well, may be it is not a fair comparison.
bscotti got me thinking last night about Porsches last night and it spurred the below. To my surprise they are quite a close fit, with the re-re body being a touch wider, but not by much. All this really means for me is more projects that I want to...

Note to self and others, DO NOT use Acetone to removed glue from early Tamiya wheels, the greyish colored wheels. Specifically I tried the 1/12 on road wheels, but I believe based on color this would include Rough Rider and Holiday Buggy. Not sure...
This still remains to be one of my FAVorite vintage tamiya vehicles. This one is unrestored and near mint. This was a $85 kit back in day and seemed not to popular. I'm searching for 2 parts trees for another FAV,#8911 and 12.

Yep, it's a fast attack vehicle, car #46 out of the first 100 tamiyas. Released in '84 i do believe. Parts are hard to come by.

Thanks for the info. If that last photo is for a parma shock, it is DEFINATELY not a parma. The shock body is NOT threaded.

Thanks to Brandon for the wheels, they look great. The gold anodized centers have more of a copper tone to them than the tamiya plating, which is more yellow, but I think they look good together.

you have to be careful with the teu101 that comes in with the kits. it has 2 wires that go to the rx, one is for the battery, the other is for ch2. it puts full voltage to the rx, so you have to use a BEC receiver. I did not realize this at first...

I found a example on Tamiya Club of a MIP 400. I thought it was for the RC10 but I might be wrong ( I think I should have posted it in the non Rc10 section) it looks like a SRB part to me. and the IRS 400 kit is the rear trailing arms with the drive...

True, true, the old knobby tires were not all that realistic, but they just looked sweet on those old school buggies. Better looking than the crop of tires that followed in my opinion.
