Screw the box art! I seriously have a boner! No joke...flipwils11 wrote:Boxart photo coming once I trim the body, but I need to get the steering servo to complete things. For now here's a pic with the body that will go with the aluminum wheels theme.

Awesome Adam. It needs a little tiny "I heart the 80's" bumper sticker. Very cool!

Re: Custom Works Dominator w/white parts, mini-resto
Thanks guys, much appreciated! Here are the pics with the box art body mounted. Note the painter is Jim Heller, who painted the original Dominator box art body in the 1980's, and he also painted the blue body I showed off a few posts ago.
I haven't drilled a hole for the antenna but may hold off. I think I'm about wrapped up with this and it will be making its appearance in my for sale thread very soon. While this project has been very cool and tracking down parts has been fun and a challenge, I'm just not a dirt oval guy. Seems better to let someone else enjoy this in their collection.

I know it isnt box art, but it needs a giant sideboard and gurney and it will be perfection!

Very nice!!! I'm glad you were able to use those wheels on this project. Everything has just the right amount of sparkle.flipwils11 wrote:Boxart photo coming once I trim the body, but I need to get the steering servo to complete things. Hah, thanks guys, I appreciate the compliments. Yes I really liked how it turned out with the blue body and wheels, too, but now that wheel/tire/body setup is going to another lucky Dominator owner (just mailed out yesterday!) and that is also an early model. Hopefully it will be in the gallery soon.Bent wrote:WOW! I have yet to see a rc car that made me stop, gasp then say wholey crap but this one did it.
I also am about to mail a similar (and equally gorgeous) Jim Heller body to another forum member, this one untrimmed, and it will appear on his Dominator soon I hope.
