Ishipla Monster
Here’s another one that nobody should want to own, so I’m happy to have it in my collection I wish I got it as cheap as the sticker says! Haha
Where to start. The plastics just scream “brittle”. The flex of the entire rear is crazy, hopefully the body will tie it together! The front half looks like it was destined to be a different buggy than the rear that was added. Probably where it got it’s name. The rear has kind of an AYK feel, gearbox wise and such. I’ve also never seen a kit that came with plans instead of a manual.
Again, glad to have it! But such an odd buggy

Re: Ishipla Monster
Looks like they put an Ayk Bobcat and a Tamiya Grass Hopper in a cage together to breed! Or a Franken Buggy home brew? Very odd indeed. Maybe the rear end flex is intended to save breaking the brittle plastics?
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Re: Ishipla Monster
I was thinking the same thing (almost)...AYK Buffalo with a Hornet front end fused on.

Re: Ishipla Monster
I just surfed up some pictures and the body looks very Hornet like , there were quite a few Grasshopper/Hornet clones back then , looks a lot like this was going to be another and then they stuck a different rear on it .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Re: Ishipla Monster
Perfect. Thanks Jeff for the pictures because I asked up a while back about an ishipla monster with the sound of crickets to answer my questions. Now if I can just get some better pics of that car I can go through all my crap to find out what parts I still have for it amidst the unidentified pilocrap.

Re: Ishipla Monster
Todd, I´m very very sorry, I didn't see the post where You asked about the Ishipla - To make up for it, I might be able to help with missing parts. I slaughtered mine for the shocks.klavy69 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 28, 2017 11:16 pm Perfect. It’s funny, after looking closer at those front shock towers they look like they would fit a scorpion see the shape of the bottom, for no apparent reason in this application
