Re: I'm not sure what to call it, and not sure why I'm doing
This is the idea I have been kicking around. I was going to use pulleys off the idlers on the left side just like the MIP kit. Could leave or trim off the top shaft part of the trans. I was going to find 48 pitch pinions trimmed and drilled out to 3/16" Id for some longer shafts to allow room externally for mounting a pulley. I was going to use traxxas 4tec 15 tooth pulleys cause they are cheap.

Great work here. Dual motors for a 10T would be cool!
As far as belt driven I could see cutting the top shaft section of the stealth off to save room and possibly still fit a protech body.
Looks forward to more project pictures.

I like where you're taking this, Jeff. If 4WD RC10 conversions are so stupid-expensive and not even executed particularly well, fabricate your own.
The RC10 name is terribly ambiguous and doesn't lend itself well to nicknames or plays-on-words, but I like teman's suggestion.

Re: Gomachv's 4wd RC10 project, still unnamed and unproven
Nose brace tubes on (that's why the tower was left "wide" just handnt cut the tubes yet)
Cut a rear tower to allow the belt to pass, and cut the bulkhead. Installed rubber bands to test the path of the belt.
Still searching for proper pullies, I know what I WANT to do, but it would require someone to machine a custom set of pullies for me
oh Jaaaaaaaaake......

Haven't crossed that bridge yet but it will be close. Just paint the body one color and the racing stripe adds itself

It looks rougher in person
once the belt passes thru I will be able to make it more "finished"

Understatement for sure, nice work man! This is one cool build. I need to find me an anodizing guy, and get some builds going.marlo wrote:Very cool Jeff.
